Road bridge over the Kráľová waterworks
Pastucha, Marek ; Novák, Richard (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the design of a road bridge over a river. A suspended bridge was chosen from three variants. The calculation of internal forces was done in the SCIA Engineer program and the assessment was done by manual calculation, in the MS Excel program and in the IDEA Statica program. The construction was assessed for the limit state of bearing capacity and usability. The calculation was made according to valid standards.standards.
Cable-supported pedestrian bridge
Knotek, Jan ; Brtáň, Stanislav (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is design a cable-supported pedestrian bridge. Three different variants of the solution were created for the design. For detailed processing, variant no.2 was chosen - a suspended bridge with a pylon in the middle of the span. The main task is the static design of the supporting structure. The model for the lengthways is created in ANSYS. The SCIA engineer was used to solve crosswise. The assessment and dimensioning was done according to the limit state principles and valid standards.
Stress ribbon bridge across the deep valley
Tomisová, Gabriela ; Brtáň, Stanislav (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is a design of stress ribbon bridge across the deep valley. The construction of the footbridge contains stress ribbon bridge with external cables and final prestressing tendons. The bridge deck is in a parabolic arc and the suspension cables are in two bend down parabolic arcs. The construction is reproduced for evaluation of longitudinal direction in the Ansys 14.0 programme and for transversal direction in the Scia Engineer 15.1 programme. The model was solved in several phases, nonlinerally. The pier was reproduced in the Scia Engineer 15.1 programme for local effect of action. The construction was evaluated for dynamic action. The construction is assessed according to the actual EN standards.
Static analysis of pedestrian bridge stucture
Holada, Jiří ; Kala, Jiří (referee) ; Hradil, Petr (advisor)
The thesis is focused on a static analysis and compiling a computational model of the suspension bridge for pedestrians and cyclists over the Sázavu river in Zbořený Kostelec vilage. The model is constructed according to the real shape of the structure. The length of the footbridge is 135 m and width 4 m. The calculation and compiling a computational model is processed by program ANSYS free Student Software.

Dynamic Interactions of a Train Moving Over a Rail Suspension Bridge with Multiple Support Settlements
Yau, Y. D. ; Frýba, Ladislav
With the consideration of multiple support settlements, interaction responses of a train running over a rail suspension bridge will be investigated. The suspension bridge is modeled as a single-span suspended beam with hinged ends and the train as successive moving oscillators with identical properties. To conduct this dynamic problem with non-homogeneous boundary conditions, the total deflection response of the suspended beam is divided into two parts: the static component and the dynamic deflection. Then, the coupled equations of motion for the suspended beam carrying multiple moving oscillators are converted into a set of nonlinearly coupled generalized equations by Galerkin’s method, and solved using the Newmark method using incremental-iterative procedure. From the present numerical demonstrations, the differential movements of bridge supports will significantly affect the dynamic response of the running vehicles but insignificant influence on the bridge response.
Nonlinear models of suspension bridges
Malík, Josef
Some results concerning the geometric nonlinearity connected with torsion and bending of a road bed is analyzed. The basic nonlinear variational equations derived from principle of minimum energy are proposed.
